Marcel is a seasoned real estate professional with over 30 years of experience, including 25 years as a sworn broker and certified valuer. He was officially sworn in by the Court of Breda in 1993. Throughout his career, he held various board positions within the Royal Dutch Real Estate Association (NVM), where he was a member for over 25 years. He was also active as an examiner and a member of the Appeals Board for the Dutch real estate examination authority.
After a long and successful career in the Netherlands, Marcel shifted his focus to Spain. Together with Tom Malherbe, he runs Inmo La Vida Lux in Moraira, on the northern Costa Blanca. In a region full of real estate agencies, they stand out thanks to their expert approach, transparency, and personal guidance — but above all, by always putting the client first. With a strong legal and technical background and a wealth of experience, both Dutch and international clients feel in safe and trusted hands.
Marcel is officially registered in Spain as a real estate agent under RAICV number 3242 (Registro de Agentes de Intermediación Inmobiliaria de la Comunitat Valenciana) and is a certified API agent under number 0116. These credentials underscore his professionalism and commitment to high standards, both inside and outside the Netherlands.
Outside of work, Marcel is a true bon vivant. He enjoys padel, golfing, hiking, and quality time with friends. His passion for Spain and its lifestyle is reflected in his personal motto: “In the Netherlands you live in a house, in Spain you live life.”
With a background in Real Estate & Brokerage (HBO) and a Master’s degree in Corporate Law, Tom combines legal expertise with hands-on experience. After a successful career in the Netherlands as a commercial broker, he moved to Moraira in 2018, where he has since specialized in the local property market.
Tom is a dedicated and transparent agent who treats every client’s purchase as if it were his own. He is registered with RAICV (No. 3242) and a member of API. Together with his wife, he also runs a holiday rental and property management service, giving clients a fully worry-free investment and rental solution.
